INFRA Monitoring System

With the Sigicom INFRA System, unmanned measurements can be taken of vibration, sound and noise, airborne shock-waves, movements, crack formation, inclination and pollutants. INFRA is modular and easy to use. Sensors are connected via a standard T-connector to a common bus cable, which also supplies current to the sensors. Analog to digital conversion is built into the sensors, and the cable system complies with the international protection rating standard IP67.

INFRA both reads-off and sends the measurement data automatically to NCVIB, which eliminates the tasks of reading off the values on site and handling the information in the field. This means that engineers can be relieved of the task of driving around to tend to measuring instruments, and their valuable time utilized for more important work. This pays dividends even in projects of relatively modest size.

The control unit (the logger) has a built-in battery and communicates with the sensors digitally. The logger stores data and communicates automatically with the main supervisory system via GSM/GPRS at preset times.

Data can also be sent when something special happens; for example when a blast is initiated or whenever a train passes. Alarms can then be sent by SMS directly to the cell phones of the persons responsible, for the purpose of warning or informing. INFRA can also, for example, send alarms to the drivers or operators of construction machines when defined limit values are about to be exceeded. This enables the process to be optimized, and unnecessary fines and damages to be avoided.
