Tvärbanan light railway extension

Nitro Consult has been appointed to carry out structural surveys and multiple measuring in connection with the construction of a 6.7-km, double-track, northern extension of Stockholm’s Tvärbanan LRT Line. The Tvärbanan is a light intermodal connector railway for commuters, which runs in a loop around the south of the city, from the southwest to the northwest of the metropolis. This extension, called the Solna Branch, will run from Alvik to Solna Station, where the new national football stadium is currently under construction. Scheduled to be completed in just 4 years (by 2013), it will include 3 tunnels, 3 bridges, 8 stops and a new depot. Earlier, Nitro Consult carried out risk analyses for this project.
